Temasek profits hit record as foreign spending booms

Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek spent more money on foreign investments than Asian purchases for the first time in its history last year, as capital injections for Barclays and Merrill Lynch helped boost net foreign investment to S$10bn (€4.8bn) from just a tenth of that the previous year.
